A superb botanical garden in Adelaide, home to the largest greenhouse in the Southern Hemisphere, designed by architect Guy Maron.

The Royal Botanic Garden is a 50-hectare urban oasis, offering an immersion in Australia's plant diversity. Architectural treasures include the Palm House, a restored Victorian greenhouse, and the Bicentennial Conservatory, inaugurated in 1988. The latter is the largest greenhouse in the Southern Hemisphere. Visitors can enjoy a meal at the Botanic Restaurant, renowned for its modern Australian cuisine, or at the more relaxed Botanic Lodge, overlooking the lake. Free guided tours are offered daily at 10:30 am.

Opening time and information on ADELAIDE BOTANIC GARDENS

Park open Monday to Friday from 7.15 a.m., closing 5.30 to 6.30 p.m. depending on season. Open from 9am on weekends. Free admission. Visitor Centre in the Schomburgk Pavilion, open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on Christmas Day.

Joli espace vert en ville

Adelaide est une ville au bord du désert, pas très grande et agréable à découvrir. Son jardin botanique en plein coeur de la ville est sympa à visiter.

Le plus beau jardin botanique d'Australie selon moi. Les allées fleuries sont très agréables et les bâtiments sont très beaux.

superbe parc, très riche en variétés nous avons même vu un arbousier d'une taille extraordinaire alors que chez nous, dans le midi, ce n'est guère plus qu'un arbuste. La serre est très belle. Il fait bon flâner et s'arrêter à l'ombre quant la chaleur s'installe. et ne pas oublier d'aller taster les vins australiens au centre australien du vin (assez cher quand même)

Le jardin botanique d'adelaide est magnifique. Grande collection de plantes, arbres et cactus. Bien situé près du centre ville, avec de nombreux cafés/bars a proximité.
