The Grampians Mountains are located after Ballarat, immediately west of Mount Ararat and south of the Western Highway. These are the last mountains at the end of the Great Dividing Range which ends here. The Grampians form a large 167 000 ha national park known for its beautiful hikes, superb views of summits, its climbing sites and abundant wildlife. In the southern spring countless wild flowers appear in the landscape. The Grampians also home to many Aboriginal paintings, and spectacular waterfalls such as McKenzie Falls.
