Cape York Peninsula is one of the last unexplored lands on the planet. Plunging its roots into the depths of time and aboriginal legends, this wild region, the least populated of Australia, has remained unchanged for millions of years. It is protected largely by national parks and Aboriginal reserves. It's a marshy country with impenetrable roots, the tropical jungle jungle, the giant ant, the rugged mountains. A real adventure country where you need to know how to measure the risks. The monsoon runs on the peninsula between November and March, with impressive cyclones and storms. The forests, flooded by the water tornadoes for weeks, ruissellent and form an oppressive green cloak where growing plants of chlorophyll grow. The most favorable period for visiting the region is between June and October. Outside this period, check the road conditions.
