This is a great place to spend the afternoon! Only four kilometers from the heart of Cairns city, the Botanical Gardens are a wild, tropical oasis of exotic plants, ancient trees and native wildlife. A small cafe is nestled in the greenery and a beautiful walk awaits you around the Centenary Lakes. This area has a long walkway that winds through the rainforest and mangroves. It ends at a freshwater lake surrounded by a lush park ideal for a picnic.

Pleasant botanical garden, well-maintained, ideal for this relaxing and enjoying numerous tropical flowers. The entrance is free and there are restoration on site.
