Skyrail is a great way to experience the World Heritage-listed rainforest in a different way. Take to the skies aboard your gondola for superb views of Cairns and the rainforest. On your way to Kuranda, stroll through the forest and admire the impressive Barron Falls. All stations have been built in existing clearings and cannot be seen from the other side of the waterfall.

Your adventure continues with the Kuranda Scenic Railway, one of Australia's most scenic rail journeys. Travel from the mountain village of Ngunbay (Kuranda), famous for platypus, to Din Din Barron Gorge National Park and through ancient rainforest. The train winds through dense vegetation, dizzying waterfalls and deep ravines to Gimuy (Cairns). The journey from Cairns, Freshwater or Kuranda stations takes around two hours. You can choose to travel in heritage wooden carriages or in Gold class!
