OCEAN FREE

Thanks to the team of ocean freedom we had a fantastic day at the Great Barrier Reef! The team was amazing and caring, you really can feel that they love what they do!

It's been 2 months since I was on the Ocean Free and I'm still talking about it every day. First, in a huge industry of reef tours with huge boats stuffed with passengers, the Ocean Free was the experience I was looking for -- I think there were only 12 passengers and 3 crew (shout out to Skipper Jan and amazing crew members Yaya and T). I was extraordinarily lucky that I was the only one on the boat who was diving (all others were snorkeling), so I had the absolutely BEST dives with Yaya who took such good care of me (I'm an intro diver) and we had so much fun seeing such abundant sea life around the Green Island reefs. (Seriously, Yaya -- you're AMAZING!!!!) I even got to do a little extra snorkeling in between dives which was wonderful. The quick trip over to Green Island was nice and it is pretty there, but if I had to do it again, I would have stayed in the water the whole time instead. I don't remember what we ate, but I remember it was good, and I was very thankful for the fresh fruit which was a refreshing treat after diving. On the way home, Yaya and T were playing DJ and everyone on board was having a blast, dancing and singing along with them the whole way, finishing with a very energetic rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody as we pulled into the dock. It was the absolute perfect day.

Incredible taster scuba diving experience with Lucy, felt very safe with her and she pointed out the most amazing sea life, including turtles, white tip shark and beautiful fish. Best experience.
