Located on the shores of Murray Lagoon, Rockhampton Botanic Garden is considered one of Australia's finest regional gardens. Recently listed, the park is home to dense tropical vegetation, shaded areas, a fruit tree section and a tranquil Japanese garden. The Gardens Tearoom is particularly popular as a place to take a break for lunch. Huge fig trees complete the panorama: a good breath of fresh air in the middle of the city! The site also includes a small free zoo.

Le Jardin Botanique n'apporte pas d'originalité incroyable par rapport aux autres. Un restaurant/snack est disponible. Totalement gratuit. Il dispose d'un joli lac. Malheureusement, le jardin japonais était fermé...

Endroit très agréable et surtout gratuit! Si vos n'avez pas eu la chance d'en voir en liberté, vous trouverez des kangourous, des crocodiles, des cassoars, des koalas, des dingos,...! Ne pas manquer le repas des animaux!
