Hospital caring for koalas injured in road accidents, dog attacks, diseases or forest fires

The Koala Hospital was founded in 1973 by passionate local residents Jean and Max Starr. After several moves and expansions, the hospital is now a major care center for koalas. It takes in and cares for these animals, victims of a variety of incidents: road accidents, dog attacks, disease and the ravages of forest fires. Recently, a new natural rehabilitation and welfare area, the Guulaba, was inaugurated to accommodate koalas that cannot be released back into the wild.
