These ancient caves, which are among the most famous in Australia, were first discovered by Europeans in 1838.
The Jenolan Caves are among the oldest caves in the world and among the most famous in Australia. They were discovered by Europeans in 1838, but the Aborigines have known them for a long time under the name of Binoomea. Among the 10 sites to visit, the most popular are Lucas Caves - where concerts are organized in the Cathedral Room, Imperial Cave - the easiest to access as it is on flat ground, Orient Cave - with very beautiful natural sculptures, and Temple of Baal - equipped for sound and light shows.
