Site that has become a place of study for many archaeologists, the most emblematic of La Palma
It is surely the most emblematic pre-Hispanic site in La Palma because it was in Belmaco that the first petroglyphs of the Canary Islands were discovered in the 18th century. And this site has become a place of study for many archaeologists. Today, ten natural caves with rock engravings can be visited. They were probably occupied for many years by the Benaoharitas. The Interpretation Centre will help you to better understand the way of life of the Canary Islands Aborigines through models and video material.
