Baroque style church with a beautiful clock in Valverde.

The Baroque-style building was begun in the mid-16th century, but not completed until 1776.

Its black stone facade, white walls and red-tiled roof are set in a small square where a series of staircases descend, with their street lamps providing pleasant evening illumination. The church served as a refuge from pirate attacks, and its tower was used as a lookout. It features a magnificent clock, restored in 2000.

remarquable édifice
c'est un bâtiment tout blanc , sur une place charmante depuis laquelle on aperçoit l'océan
beau à l'extérieur, mais également à l'intérieur où on remarque la superbe charpente
c'est du style colonial , 18éme siècle, et 19ème siècle
on pense aux habitants de VALVERDE qui venaient s'y réfugier pendant les attaques de pirates
