El Hierro's main cab rank is easily recognizable: a white house with the Transhierro logo. You can, of course, take a cab there directly. But the island has developed a very interesting system for non-motorized travellers: the taxi-bus combination. You take the main route to the island's three stations, from where cabs can then take you to a specific destination and pick you up. A rather ecological solution for an island that is a Biosphere Reserve and a Geopark.
