If you want to discover the cheeses of the region and do some great shopping, go absolutely to the cheese dairy L'Artisanale de Ris, based in Ris-Gare. It has existed since the 1950s, at the entrance to the Livradois-Forez Park. The shop abounds in all kinds of cheeses made from cow's, sheep's and goat's milk. The specialities of the house are gaperon and lavort. Everything is made and refined in the cellar. To accompany your beautiful cheese platter, the shop adds a few local products to its stall: wines, delicatessen, honeys, jams and biscuits.
