BEACHES

South of Athani are probably the most beautiful sandy beaches of the island: Porto Katsiki and Egremni. In Egremni, park in the car park and walk down to the exceptional beach: the colour of the sand is white, the cliffs fall steeply and give the sea an incredible hue. It's almost like being in the Caribbean! Be aware, however, that there is no shade. In Porto Katsiki you can also reach the beach by a small staircase from the top of the cliff. The sandy beach forms a cove surrounded by steep white cliffs.
