ATROCIAN MONASTERY

For those who want to enjoy a beautiful view of the village, coast and sea, we recommend a visit to the Atros monastery in the mountains just behind Poros. It's not an easy walk. To get there, unfortunately, however, the road is not paved and not very comfortable. But on arrival, the setting is magnificent. Built in the ^13th century, perched high in the mountains, it overlooks the sea and offers extraordinary views. It is the oldest monastery on Cephalonia, built in Byzantine times.
