AGHIOS STEFANOS CHURCH

The Aghios Stefanos church stands like a guardian of Hellenism on the northern tip of the island, facing Turkey. It is 45 minutes' walk from the port, by a pretty path from the post office, overlooking the Hotel Mediterraneo. The church is often closed but it is especially the walk that is interesting. The landscapes are superb, despite the bunkers that watch the Turkish coasts. On arrival, a small path leads to flat rocks where you can enjoy a pleasant swim in crystal clear waters.
