BEACHES

One does not spontaneously think of the joys of swimming when landing in Ermoupolis. Yet, like many ports, it has its protected corners. To refresh yourself in town, there are three beaches in Ermoupolis: Kimata, Asteria and Aghios Nikolaos. These last two are located in the district of Vaporia and follow one another on the small bay. A beach is a narrow strip of rocks topped by concrete pontoons. Families meet there, children with their grandparents and it's quite an old-fashioned sight to watch.
