VALE OF TEARS

At the level of the bakery, turn left and, after crossing the Farmers' Association building, turn left again. The paved path, usually indicated by orange arrows, is one of the prettiest on the island. When you reach the top, take a look at the small chapel of Pantokratoras. The view of the coast is spectacular. Continue along the abandoned mills. You are in the region of Haplovouni, once called the "Valley of Tears" because it is the place from where sailors' wives saw their husbands leave.
