When you reach Vathi beach from the car park or bus stop, you come across this small blue tavern. At the water's edge, with the waves stranded right there, we stop for a pleasant lunch break or dinner in the setting sun. On a small concrete terrace on the beach, this tavern serves grilled fish, Sifnos seafood dishes, lobster spaghetti, shrimp or sea urchins. The welcome is warm and it feels good and less crowded than under Tsikali's tamarisk trees, which are sometimes a little suffocating.
