BEACHES

The beaches of the southwest of Kea are among the most beautiful on the island and have the advantage of being sheltered from the meltemi in summer. In Koundouros itself, the large sandy beach is particularly popular and therefore very frequented in summer. There you will find beach tavernas, sunbeds and umbrellas. This is in contrast to the small cove of Aghios Emilianos, located a little higher up. Moving south towards the village of Kampi, you will find a succession of small pleasant beaches, including Frea, shaded, or Lygia, a pebble beach with crystal clear waters.
