PLAGES DU PORT

The beach of the port has the merit to exist but offers no particular charm. One can then walk to the beach of Gialiskari, 5 min walk to the north, lined with tamarisk, pine and eucalyptus trees... but also with cafes, noise and many towels in season. Further up, the former fishing village of Vourkari has become a popular marina. For more peace and quiet, a coastal path to the south leads to the beautiful beach of Xila, about 6 km south of the port. One can easily spend the day there, with a picnic.
