STATION AND LITTLE TRAIN

The ride in the traditional Mountzouris train, which has been put back into service by lovers of steam locomotives, is worthwhile, if you arrive on the right day. The train ran between Volos and Milies in 1903, covering a distance of about 29 km. In 1971, the line was abandoned as unprofitable. Today, every weekend in summer, the little train once again takes its tiny wagons pulled by a picturesque steam locomotive between Lechonia and Milies, this time to the delight of tourists of all ages.
