ARISTOTLE SCHOOL

To our great surprise, we discovered here a relatively abandoned site. However, it was in Mieza that the famous philosopher founded his school. You can access it by going to the village of Kopanos and following the direction indicated. A small path leads to a cave on the left. It was there that Aristotle taught the young Alexander the Great philosophy, mathematics and the arts. Further on, we can see the remains of an amphitheatre and another cave. The whole site was a shaded sanctuary dedicated to nymphs.
