Last refuge of Ali Pasha, an island with splendid monasteries in Ionnina.
This island, 800 m long and 500 m wide, has some assets. It is the route, first of all, that is pleasant even if the lake is not maintained as it should be. Ali Pasha's last refuge before his death, the island has splendid monasteries founded by the great Byzantine families. To recount his memory, a house was transformed into a museum (9am-9pm). Above all, you will be able to admire post-Byzantine frescoes as well as works by great local painters who have combined the virtuosity of art with the rigour of religious representations

Le musée d’Ali pacha est pour un prix modique 3 euros ,vous aurez une 2 lieux de visite et un petite église

Accessible for €2 return, with a boat crossing a few minutes, the island is a small picturesque jewel: whitewashed houses limes, cobbled streets lined with shops for tourists (sale of jewellery, local produce...). Historically, the island is the place where Ali Pacha refuge during the Turkish occupation: the house is now a small museum, located in the heart of the island. To enjoy the view of Ioannina, a small road allows you to tour of the island, in a wild landscape and calm, surrounded by reeds.
