Byzantine bridge with a legend located in Arta.
This building is a Byzantine bridge restored in the 17th century. There are many bridges like this one in Epirus, but this one has a history. Or rather a legend. Thus he told himself that the bridge inevitably collapsed during the night following the day of its completion until the master of the building site agreed, on the orders of a genius, to wall his wife alive in one of the arches of the bridge, and thus to use his wife as a "foundation stone" to prevent the poorly designed building from collapsing?
