Church dedicated to the Virgin Consoler located in Arta.

Jewel of the city, it is dedicated to the Virgin Consoler. This remarkable church was built at the end of the 13th century. The building, of cubic shape, is topped by a dome and turrets. Its originality comes from its horizontal columns, embedded in the wall, which carry the pendentives of the central vault. These columns come from reused ancient monuments. Inside the dome is represented a pantocrator Christ and prophets.
