Small cogwheel train of the XIXth century allowing to visit the gorges of Vouraïkos.

This small rack train of the XIXth century is a tourist attraction which is worth the effort: it allows to visit the gorges of Vouraïkos, by following them on 22 km. In many places, the train seems to be suspended in the void. The view on the Gulf of Corinth is impressive. Its construction began in 1889 and it was inaugurated in 1896. It is one of the narrowest railroads in the world. You are driven at 30-40 km per hour up to 750 m. It is a special train, "toothed" to adapt to the relief with slopes and climbs.
