Diakofto is a small town well situated, on the one hand between Patras and Corinth, on the other hand near the gorges of Vouraïkos. It is therefore a good place to visit the region. Diakofto can be reached either by the main road towards Patras or Corinth, which runs along the sea, or by the small road from Kalavrita along the Vouraïkos Gorge. In Diakofto itself, you can head towards the seafront where the port, hotels and beach are located, or towards the town centre, which is the square from where the 19th century cog railway leaves to visit the Vouraïkos Gorge
