Archaeological museum with some interesting objects from different periods.

Surrounded by a shady garden, the museum presents some interesting objects from different periods. It contains pieces from the ancient acropolis of Sparta, but also from all of Laconia over a period ranging from the Neolithic to the Roman period. Steles and votive masks, Roman and Hellenistic mosaics, vases from the Mycenaean period, an impressive collection of bronzes, capitals mixing Doric and Ionic orders. Room 6, with fragments from the temple of Apollo at Amyclae, is the most important part of the collection.
