A charming, nonchalant and rejuvenating getaway near Athens for a dip in the blue sky and lake.

During the 1960s and 1970s, young people came here from Athens to sleep under the stars on the shores of the lake. Today, nothing seems to have changed, and one discovers a picture of Epinal of Greece: white chapels and pontoons, low houses painted with lime, fish taverns with their feet in the water. If you feel like it, continue your walk by climbing up to the small Saint-Nicolas chapel where you will have a beautiful view of the lighthouse built in 1897 and the gulf. The lake communicates with the sea through a channel, perfect for a swim.

Very pretty lake (which corresponds to the sea by a channel), you will immediately find arriving a small restaurant unpretentious where you anse fish and octopus grilled on the waterfront, dessert (delicious cherries in June) is offered, and you can swim in water transparent before tour lake a little further see the small blue and white chapel.
hello

Spend a day on the morning swim to the blue lake, noon lunch in a tavern " the eau" little nap and before sunset a visit in Heraion a charming little site calm with its small cove. If courage takes you between the blue lake and heraion, climb the left to the small St Nicolas chapel you will have a beautiful view of the gulf and heraion lighthouse
