Opened in 1950, the Antoniou cheese and sausage factory (Τυροκομικά-Αλλαντικά Αντωνίου/Tyrokomika-Allantika Antoniou) is renowned throughout Greater Athens for its fine products: vast selection of feta from all over the country, graviera from Skyros, Ios or Crete, Euboean goat crottin with truffles, water buffalo meat from Kerkini, halva Drapetsonas from Piraeus, dromedary pastourmas (!) from Karamanlidika in Athens, olive oils, staka ("butter" from Crete), fine canned and jarred products, organic vegetables..
