MUNICIPAL MUSEUM (GRADSKI MUZEJ)

Museum housed in a Baroque palace built in the ^mid-18th century for Count Eltz. It was the target of shellfire during the last war, but the foundations held. The roof, middle pediment, interior walls and many of the exhibition rooms have been rebuilt. If the museum's permanent collection is meagre, the energy of its janitors in preserving the building makes up for it. Temporary events are occasionally held here.
