Cathedral with paintings by Venetian masters and relics in Hvar, preserving icons of the Croatian Orthodox.

It was built on the foundations of a Gothic church (15th century) and then raised in stages from the 16th to the 18th century. With its Romanesque bell tower and Renaissance and Baroque facade, the Svetog Stjepana Cathedral has undergone a long period of renovation, which explains its stylistic eclecticism. Inside, the treasury holds Croatian Orthodox icons, paintings by Venetian masters and the relics of St. Prosper.
