Behind the cathedral, this 16th-century convent is still inhabited by a community of monks. Exhibition rooms have been set aside for collections of paintings and icons from the monastery's treasury. A more recent development is the manufacture and sale of local souvenirs, including lace and embroidery made by the nuns. This know-how has been listed as a UNESCO intangible heritage site for several years. A cultural visit to discover this local craft.
