Sea Promenade, the most famous meeting point in Split, serving as a stage for open-air concerts and other entertainment.

This promenade, which runs alongside the sea and a wing of Diocletian's palace, offers sunbathing and unobstructed views. Split's best-known meeting point, the riva is constantly busy with crowds of onlookers (locals and tourists) walking, sitting on the benches or on the café-restaurant terraces. In the 19th century, Napoleon's French administration decided to enlarge the alley and construct classical buildings with a stone fountain. Today, the riva hosts open-air concerts and other events.

Difficile de ne pas faire la Riva de Split ! Quand on arrive de la gare routière, on tombe sur elle ! Il y a tout : restaurant, café et surtout un petit office du tourisme (ou du moins un espace de renseignement) qui peut vous indiquer votre chemin pour trouver votre hôtel ! C'est un lieu tout sauf calme, mais néanmoins l'air marin y est très agréable !

Front de mer à Split, La Riva, court le long de la vieille ville. C'est une belle promenade avec vue sur le port et les îles au loin.
L'espace est largement ouvert aux piétons mais est quelque peu défiguré par un parking.
En été, la foule est très présente. Les touristes déambulent entre les terrasses des restaurants, les bars, les boutiques ...
