The fortress, which overlooks Šibenik, has been beautifully restored and has become an exceptional cultural center and performance hall.
Šibenik is dominated by the silhouette of its fortress. Long used as a cistern, the fort dates back to the 11th century. Beautifully restored, it now serves as a cultural center and an exceptional open-air performance venue. You can visit the exhibition areas, take a tour of the ramparts overlooking the old town, the port and the archipelago. Combined tickets give access to the other two fortresses (Tvrđava Barone, Svetog Ivana), also very well restored.

La forteresse Saint-Michel de Šibenik vaut surtout par la vue qu'elle procure sur la vieille ville, sur l'embouchure de la rivière Krka et sur les îles de la côte adriatique. La forteresse a été restaurée pour en faire un lieu de spectacle plutôt que de restituer le monument historique.

Forteresse sur les hauteurs, belle vue sur la ville de Sibenik et ses alentours. Entrée payante (pass pour deux forteresses). Dommage que ce monument ne soit pas assez mis en valeur...
