The Manombo Special Reserve covers 5,080 hectares (divided into two parcels). The climate is tropical, humid and hot, the annual rainfall is about 2,500 mm, and the average temperature is around 23°C. One will discover there in particular eight species of lemurs, of whichEulemur cinereiceps, endemic (and moreover threatened), as well as 58 species of birds and 52 species of snails and still rare species of fresh water fish.
