Hotel located in the heart of a historic district, offering 46 rooms, all different and in all price ranges.

It is one of the institutions of Tana, in the heart of the historic district. A charming hotel with 46 rooms all different and in all price ranges. Hats off to the decoration and the particular care given to each space. Same search for style in the main restaurant of French and Malagasy cuisine, the patio in the shade of palm trees by the pool (buffet every lunchtime and snacking from 14:30 to 20:00). Also a massage area, a conference room and a small tea room on the street side. Reservation required.

This hotel is very beautiful and pleasant. Its windows full of old objects make it almost a museum. There is even a very funny and especially loquacious parrot! A perfect oasis in the heart of the city! The only slight drawback, our room which gave directly on the swimming pool to the rdc and therefore missed a little " of intimité".

Mon retaurant préféré à Madagascar . Qualité exceptionnelle, on peut y lmanger de tout à prix très doux. Gouter au foie gras et au Zébu en différentes préparations. Cadre magique autour de la piscine, de plus on s'instruit par un joli musée des traditions malgaches dans les différentes pièces et couloirs. A ne pas rater à Tananarive.

I did nothing but visit, enjoying my stay on site, and I still regret having to cancel my reservation. The next in Tana, it is here that I will go probably.
However the restaurant (rather snack) along the street, it is BOF BOF. I left myself tempted by a milkshake with fruits… the foutage of mouth (with all my respect though: -))

A chacun de mes passages à Tana, je séjourne au "Saka", et même si l’accueil n’est plus aussi convivial qu’il y a quelques années, je me réjouis à chaque fois de parcourir les couloirs étroits, les montées d’escaliers exiguës, un vrai labyrinthe où les murs sont recouvert de photos et d'objets anciens qui plongent le visiteur dans le Madagascar d'antan. Les chambres sont tout à fait correctes, le resto à l’étage est particulièrement bon, sans doute une des meilleurs adresses de la ville, et le petit déjeuner est lui aussi un des meilleurs que vous prendrez à Madagascar (optez pour le buffet). A noter lors de mon dernier séjour, les nombreux moustiques qui semblaient avoir envahis l’établissement !
Une belle adresse située à deux pas du centre ville et de l’avenue de l’indépendance.
