The Ömer Paşa mosque, built in 1610 by Ketenci Ömer Paşa in the center of Elmalı, is one of Anatolia's finest examples of the classic single-domed mosque style, typical of the Ottoman period. At the center of the inner courtyard separating the mosque from the madrasa is a pretty fountain. The mosque was first renovated in 1870. A new minaret was also built in the 1940s after the old one collapsed in 1929.
