Called Kaleiçi in Turkish, it's home to pretty Ottoman houses, craft stores, restaurants and cafés. Speaking of beaches, needless to say, this is one of Antalya's top activities for sun worshippers and swimmers. Special mention must be made of Konyaalti beach, a long, fine-sand beach with turquoise waters and beautiful views of the Taurus mountains. A little further from the town center, Lara beach is another popular stretch of sand for sunbathing and swimming. And for those who rent a car locally, don't hesitate to drive a little further to Phalesis beach, with its more intimate and wild setting.

The Suna & Inan Kıraç Museum, housed in an Ottoman house, displays everyday objects, clothing and instruments that retrace life in the 19th century. Located in the heart of the Taurus mountains, this is a wonderful environment, with many species of flora and fauna to observe. This is also where you'll find the ancient site of Termessos, lost in the midst of luxuriant nature, where you can see a 4,000-seat theater and the tomb of Alketas.
