Catalan industrial modernist-style cultural center, with exhibitions and activities dedicated to art and culture.
This cultural center occupies the former Fábrica Casaramona, a textile factory built between 1909 and 1912 by architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, an excellent example of Catalan industrial modernism with its red bricks and imposing towers. In addition to two immersive VR experiences revolving around classical music and an installation by Joseph Beuys, CaixaForum offers a number of temporary exhibitions, one devoted to contemporary art and others in collaboration with renowned museums (British Museum, Prado, etc.). Concerts, cinema and lecture/debate cycles.
