Port area with a floating walkway to the shopping center and Aquarium facilities
The rehabilitation of the port area began with the Moll de la Fusta (Wooden Quay) project during the 1992 Olympic Games. This pleasant palm-lined promenade links the statue of Christopher Columbus to the gates of Barceloneta. Alongside the boats, it is punctuated with sculptures, including the friendly Gamba by Javier Mariscal and the famous Barcelona's Head by Roy Lichtenstein. A floating bridge, the Rambla del Mar, provides access to the Maremagnum shopping center and the Aquarium facilities.

Le Port Vell est incontournable après avoir descendu la Rambla jusqu'au Mirador de Colom. On en fait tout le tour (un passage s'ouvre sur le Rambla de Mar pour laisser passer les bateaux). Immense centre commercial, aquarium et retour par le Passeig de Colom, après avoir remarqué El Cap de Barcelona, sculpture de 1992 par Roy Lichtenstein.

Après une marche au bout des Ramblas on arrive au monument à Colomb, le vieux port de Barcelone est juste derrière. On peut accéder à un centre commercial qui se trouve au bout du port (ouvert le dimanche) par une promenade suspendue magnifique où l'on peut admirer les différents points de vues.

Le port vell n'est pas le plus beau à voir à Barcelone mais on se laisse prendre par la balade en quittant las ramblas. A dix minutes à peine du mirador Colomb si vous voulez déguster un verre au bord de l'eau choisissez bien car tout est cher. Côté resto attention, mieux vaut aller manger plus loin. C'est du grand n'importe quoi, on vous sert des hamburgers congelés sortis de chez lidl ou aldi, sans saveur et cher, Bonjour la déception. Passez votre chemin sauf pour vous promener. A quelques pas il y a l'aquarium, c'est cher mais plus intéressant.

Pretty stroll from the mirador de Colom to the shopping center of Port Vell. The beautiful port and well equipped with benches to relax and admire the boats. Moreover, you will find the Maremagnum shopping centre to stop shopping.
