Square with an allegorical fountain in the center and a shopping and leisure center nearby

The monumental Plaça d'Espanya opens onto the Montjuïc hill with two towers inspired by the bell tower of the Basilica of St. Mark of Venice. In the centre of the square, an allegorical fountain represents the rivers of the Peninsula. Nearby are the neo-Moorish style arenas, transformed into a shopping and leisure centre by architect Richard Roger. Montjuïc is accessed through the Avinguda de la Reina Marià Cristina, a place of trade fairs and exhibitions, which leads to the Magic Fountain and the National Museum.

Située juste à l'extérieur du centre ville au croisement de routes principales de Barcelone Gran Via, Parallel ... Deux musés importants à visiter autour avec de nombreux restaurants. ça vaut aussi la peine d'y aller le soir lorsque la "fontaine magique de montjuic" est allumé et on assiste à une sorte de spectacle de lumières.

Une place très impressionnante surtout lorsque l’on arrive de l’aéroport en bus. On peut y admirer la Plaza de toros ainsi que les deux tours imposantes avec en arrière-plan le splendide Musée National d’Art de Catalogne sur la colline de Montjuic. Absolument magnifique de jour comme de nuit !
