MERCAT DE LES FLORS

Inaugurated in 1983, the Mercat de les Flors is a space dedicated to research, creation and dissemination of dance. Throughout the year, it offers an international program of contemporary dance, as well as musical events and theater. It occupies the premises of the former Agricultural Palace, built for the 1929 International Exhibition. This site was for a time the seat of the central flower market, which gave rise to its current name. Inside, note the dome, decorated with paintings by the famous artist Miquel Barceló.
