NATIONAL MUSEUM

Opened in 1987, the National Museum houses important collections retracing the entire history of Egypt. It gives a synoptic view of the history of Egypt. The first floor is devoted to prehistory and the Pharaonic period with the exhibition of mummies and sarcophagi as well as various statues.
