Museum of the Golden Mummies, preserving over 200 well-preserved mummies, found lined up and stacked one on top of the other.
Tombs dating back to the beginning of Christianity have been found in Bahareyya. They preserved more than 200 mummies, well preserved, found lined up and stacked on top of each other. Some mummies dating back to the early Greek-Roman period are on display in this museum nicknamed "the museum of golden mummies". There are different sizes of mummies, including children's mummies with painted plaster faces. The museum also displays sarcophagi and carved blocks that bear witness to the presence of the Greeks in the region.

Originality
If there is a place where you can see mummies in the heart of an oasis (some are well preserved) it is in this small museum very well maintained and supervised. a beautiful travel in the history!
