This really is the heart of the matter: an incomparable view of the entire Aswan islands, from the arms of the river, from the desert to the west. Even if you don't eat it (although traditional food is good), take an Nubian coffee to cardamom, a chicha, a good book, and you won't tire out what you're staring at.

This restaurant was opened by the former chef of the Oberoi, whose son took over. Don't be fooled by the rather flashy front, these great fish specialists know how to prepare it perfectly. From the stall, you can choose your catch from Lake Nasser and the Red Sea. The kitchen will cook it at your convenience, fried or in the oven, and serve it with salads, rice and vegetables. If by chance there is lobster, don't sulk your pleasure, if not, go for the big shrimps which are excellent.
