It is the largest airport in the country and has all the services required: wifi, ATM, catering, duty free... It is located about 20 kilometres from the city centre. Be careful, it is necessary to specify to the taxi driver, at your departure, if you are leaving from terminal 1 or 3 (sala, in Arabic). Terminal 3 is now the main point of departure for Europe. It is indeed terminal 3 and not hall 3 (beb 3, in Arabic) of terminal 1: please be absolutely clear!

The Sphinx airport is located 45 km from the pyramids of Giza, in the extreme west of the capital, on the desert road Cairo-Alexandria. It contributes to the development of tourism in the Cairo region, notably Giza, Saqqarah and the Great Museum, but also Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Luxor and Aswan. Its purpose is to relieve congestion at the international airport and it can handle 300 passengers per hour. You will find car rentals, cash machines, souvenir shops and food and drink.

Inaugurated in 2020, this airport is located to the east of the capital. It can accommodate 300 passengers per hour. Its architecture is inspired by the temple of Angkor Wat, mixed with Hindu and European touches. It is 45 km from the capital and provides connections between eastern Cairo and the cities of Shorouq, Heliopolis, Badr, and the Suez Canal. You will find car rentals, cash machines, souvenir shops and food and drink.
