Lodge of character in Musoma with a magnificent setting in a paradise garden housing a restaurant.
Here's a fairly new, characterful lodge that's a pleasure to stay in, located in Butiama on the road to Serengeti National Park, where there's a micro-museum dedicated to Nyerere, near Musoma. The setting is magnificent, in a garden paradise with a lovely swimming pool. Rooms in pretty local huts are adorned with colorful tinga tinga paintings on the walls, and every detail is meticulously attended to, from bed frames to bathrooms. The buffet breakfast is as good as the restaurant, which serves excellent fish. A fine address.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well decorated. Comfortable beds and the pool was so refreshing and clean, an oasis in the desert!
