Entrance to the park is payable directly at the gate by credit card or Tanapa prepaid card, which can be obtained from branches or from the Exim Bank website (www.eximbank.co.tz/Cards/Tanapa-Prepaid-Card/Parks). There is no accommodation in the national park. To visit the park, one has to stay in Mbeya, the nearest large town about 100 km away, or in Matamba, the village where the park entrance is located, in simple and very basic guesthouses. The park lacks tourist facilities, also due to the fact that it is visited during the rainy season.
